Fundraising Manager
Wheeler is a Kansas City native and San Diego transplant who joined the GenerateHope team in April 2018 as Case Manager. She then served as the Program Specialist, overseeing both the Recovery & Transition program and providing direct support to residents and staff. In 2022 she transitioned to serve survivors in a new capacity as the Philanthropic Relations Manager, working to build the sustainability of the organization and its programs. She has a degree in Family Studies and Human Services with a minor in Conflict Analysis and Trauma Studies from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, and is a Certified Human Trafficking Caseworker in the state of California. She began her time working with survivors in January 2017 when she served as an intern at a residential transitional program in Manhattan, Kansas. She is driven by the desire to develop, empower, and equip individuals to reach their full potential as children of God. When she's not working, you can find her cheering for the Padres, Royals & the Chiefs, on a run or working out, trying out the newest restaurant in town, and drinking coffee and playing cribbage with her husband Jake.
