Frequently Asked Questions

  • GenerateHope was founded on Christ-centered principles and provides opportunities for program participants to enter into a relationship with Christ or pursue their own faith journey. While we do integrate faith-based elements into our programming, we respect that each survivor is on an individual journey of faith. We always provide these faith-based elements through a trauma-informed approach.

  • Our residential program is a rigorous, year-round program, with the majority of classes, groups, and meetings occurring Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Sobriety support groups are provided outside of these hours, as well as other activites outside the walls of our residential program. Our major goals are to assist women who are committed to their recovery with safe housing, build their independence through education and career assistance, and heal trauma through individual and group psychotherapy. If this sounds like you, we welcome you to complete the application below with the expectation of a call from our intake coordinator within 48 hours during the work week.

  • Currently we are unable to provide housing or residential programming for women with children in their care, or survivors under the age of 18. This is on our vision board for the future!

  • We are currently unable to accommodate support animals in our residential program.

  • We ask for a minimum of 30 days of sobriety before entering our residential program.

  • At this time, we are not equipped to provide the level of clinical care and supervision necessary for individuals who are actively suicidal or facing acute psychological instability. Our first priority is ensuring that each person receives the support they need. We strongly encourage anyone in crisis to seek immediate mental health care or stabilization services before entering our program. Once they are in a more stable place, we would be glad to explore whether our services could be a good fit for their continued healing and growth.

  • Individuals must be ambulatory to participate in our residential program.

  • We may be able to invite you to our program depending on the conditions of your release, probation, or parole.

  • We recognize that each individual’s healing journey is unique. We ask that you be prepared to stay in our program for a minimum of 6 months. Our residential program is not designed for short-term stays.

  • We are not able to provide housing vouchers, assistance with rent, stipends, or outpatient programs to anyone outside of our program at this time.

  • Yes! Our programs are entirely free of cost for the survivors. Our funding comes from private donors, corporate and foundation grants, and a small percentage from government funding. In addition to this, many of our services are offered by pro bono partners, which means we are able to keep the program free of charge for survivors.

  • We receive inquiries into our program through a variety of different avenues. We get referrals from the National Hotline, local law enforcement, local human trafficking task forces, other service providers, social workers, hospitals, and even a lot of self-referrals. From there, the client will connect with our staff team and do an intake. For more details on this, you can visit the ‘Program Admission’ tab

  • No they do not. Our program was founded out of a church ministry, and still maintains many of those values. However, our priority is being victim-centered and that means we are open to all faith backgrounds from all walks of life. Women do not have to profess any particular faith to be admitted into our program
