Vivian Sapthavee is an attorney working for the California Court of Appeal.  Before joining the court, Vivian was a federal prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice and an Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Fraud Bureau at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.  She moved to San Diego from Chicago in 2020 with her husband and two lovely daughters.  The Sapthavees are members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Encinitas, and Vivian also sits on the Board of Hope for San Diego.  Vivian has a heart for public service and is an active member of local bar associations.  In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, volunteering, and hip hop dance.
